Abstract
BRANIELLULA is described as a genus in the Gastromycetes but closely relatead Gomphidius of the Agaricales. B. leucosarx, B. nancyae Smith, and B. albipes (Secotium a Zeller) are recognized in the genus. B. leucosarx appears to be related to Gomphidius maculatus. whereas B. nancyae is related to G. leptocystis and B. albipes is shown to have relationship with the subgenus Chroogomphus of Gomphidius. but is considered to be farthest removed of any of the species from the agaric genus. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
