Abstract
Statistical study of 80 children with the A neurological learning disability syndrome(minimal brain damage) revealed that the incidence of adoption in this group was almost four times that expected in an equivalent, but normal population. Sixty percent (six children) had been adopted through a private agency; 30 percent (three children) had been adopted through a state agency; and 10 percent (one child) had been adopted through private negotiations. Because adoption agency personnel were not able to release information on the preadoption history of the children, only speculation on the significance of this observation is included in this report.
