Abstract

Reaction of [Fe₄S₄(SBu^t)₄]^2– with the methyl esters of L-serine, L-tyrosine, or L-proline yields the complexes [Fe₄S₄(AA)₄]^2–(AA = anion of the amino acid methyl ester); all the complexes have been characterized in solution and the first two have been isolated as solids.
