Abstract
An RP-HPLC analysis procedure for organic compounds in photographic developers has been designed and evaluated from a qualitative and a quantitative point of view. Furthermore, RP-HPLC has been applied to describe the kinetics of the degradation of Phenidone A and B, 5-nitroindazole and 1,2,3-benzotriazole in developers under various reaction conditions. In both applications RP-HPLC proves to be very useful. Although not examined in this work, it is expected that this separation method Can also provide valuable information on reaction mechanisms in developers. Keywords
