Abstract
Ageing as shown by the microanatomy and the physical properties of the skin Summary The aspect and the physical properties of skin vary with age. These properties depend on the microstructure of the tissues, namely the stratum corneum, the malpighian layer, the adventitial dermis, the reticular dermis and the hypodermis. These microanatomical and functional characteristics can be observed by scanning electron microscopy on tissues under variable strain. Keywords
