Abstract
For the first time, a fibre amplifier with a small signal gain of more than 30 dB at 1.064 µm has been realised. The amplifier employs an Nd-Al codoped fibre and a 0.808 µm pumping laser diode which offers 50 mW incident pump power. Keywords
