Abstract
The hypothermic effects of chlorpromazine, serotonin and histamine were investigated in rats in air of 21[degree]C, after acclimatization in 6[degree]C for from 1 to 28 days. The response to chlorpromazine was greatly reduced in animals acclimatized to cold air for 7 and 28 days. Similarly, the fall in body temperature observed with serotonin and histamine was not as pronounced in acclimatized as in control animals.
