Abstract
A simple method for very accurate alignment of single crystals by means of the Laue method is described. The improved preparation technique allows the surface orientation accuracy of +or-0.1%, within the required orientation, to be maintained throughout the subsequent preparation steps. The final result is judged from thermal energy helium diffraction experiments. Keywords
