Abstract
The main concern is with the applications of a radar dopplermeter which has recently become available. Laboratory trials have been carried out to investigate its use in the process industries especially as a potential interrogating unit in a control system. Useful features, and some of the disadvantages are exposed and comparisons are made between dapplermeters using radar and laser sources. These and other techniques are under patent application. Keywords
