Abstract
The vaginal effects of a single dose of estrone were prolonged at least 24 hours by the simultaneous administration of progesterone. Injection of the progesterone prior to the estrone (24 or 48 hours) or after it (24 hours) had no effect upon the vaginal response. If the estrogen were estriol the response was unmodified by progesterone given at any of these periods. Testosterone propionate, desoxycorticosterone acetate and cortisone acetate were inactive, when given simultaneously with estrone. Keywords
