Abstract
Tropiconabis capsiformis (Hemiptera: Nabidae) was studied in the laboratory at Mississippi State, Mississippi during the summers of 1974 and 1975. Under laboratory conditions (26-28°C, 60-70% RH, and 15 h photophase per day), adult nabids lived 14.9 and 21.6 days for males and females respectively. Females laid eggs 15.5 days, averaging 105.3 eggs per female. Seventy-eight percent of the eggs hatched and the incubation period was 7.6 days. Average nymphal duration was 18 days for males and 22.4 days for females for a generation time of 51.6 days. A life table was developed for laboratory conditions. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
