Abstract
Summary Chorionic gonadotrophin-treated hypothyroid rats develop cystic ovaries characterized by decreases in free and esterified cholesterol. Ethamoxytriphetol prevents cystic ovary formation and the associated cholesterol changes, blocks pituitary hypertrophy and partially protects against adrenal cholesterol depletion. Keywords
