Search for $CP$ Violation in $τ \to K π ν_{τ}$ Decays

Abstract

We search and find no evidence for

CP

violation in

τ

decays into the

K π ν_{τ}

final state. We provide limits on the imaginary part of the coupling constant

Λ

describing a relative contribution of the

CP

violating processes with respect to the standard model to be

- 0.172 < Im (Λ) < 0.067

at

90 %

C.L.
