Abstract
Topical application of octacosanol, a 28 carbon atom, straight chain, saturated alcohol, on the combs of immature White Leghorn chicks caused a highly signifi-icant increment in chick comb growth. In contrast to results with testosterone propionate, a dose-response relationship was not obtained. A strain difference in response to octacosanol administration was observed. Keywords
