Abstract
We have observed KrO excimer emission resulting from photoexcitation of cryodeposited films of Kr:O. Both direct and exciton-enhanced dissociation of from O was observed. Our data yield a direct threshold of 7.9 eV and a relative quantum yield at higher resolution than recently reported for the gas phase. The large luminescent intensity observed indicates excimer decay via allowed and transitions.
