Abstract

All the atomic positions in the noselite structure contribute to the satellite reflections, which are caused by cations in the structure cages. The position of these cations is determined by the occupation of the cage centres with a SO₄ group: they are displaced from their normal position if each of the two cages in the unit cell containes a SO₄ group. In the case when only one cage center is occupied, displacement of the cations is considerably smaller.
