Abstract
The admn. of nitrophenide over the period covering the 49th through the 96th hrs. after inoculation with E. tenella oocysts exercised a beneficial effect on chickens. When treatment was initiated before or at the time of inoculation and continued up through the 48th hr. after inoculation, the chickens were only slightly benefited. There was a marked reduction in sporulation of oocysts discharged by birds treated from the 97th through the 144th hrs. after inoculation. 2d generation schizonts were definitely affected by the drug. Keywords
