Abstract

The in vitro response to sulfathiazole and sulfanilamide of 105 strains of Neisseria gonorrhoeae has been correlated with the clinical responses of the patients from whom the organisms were isolated. Increase in prevalence of sulfonamide-resistant strains was observed following use of sulfonamide drugs.
