Abstract
Bronchobiliary fistulas are uncommon lesions resulting from a variety of insults to the biliary tree, liver, diaphragm and lung. Depending upon the clinical circumstances, non-operative medical management alone can occasionally provide definitive therapy. Surgical drainage of the subphrenic and pleural spaces is generally accepted as the method necessary to provide optimum therapy. A bronchobiliary fistula in a man was successfully treated by percutaneous drainage of a subphrenic abscess. This application of interventional radiologic techniques to a bronchobiliary fistula is the basis of this report. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
