Abstract
The calorimetric and magnetic properties of gold-nickel alloys have been investigated over the complete concentration range. The parametric region (xor=55% Ni). The paramagnetic and ferromagnetic regions can be discussed within a band model. The critical-concentration region is characterised by peculiar calorimetric and magnetic properties which can be explained by magnetic clustering. A consistent understanding of the onset of ferromagnetism is obtained in terms of cluster interactions. Keywords
