Transverse effects in stimulated Raman scattering

Abstract
We formulate the quantum theory of stimulated Raman scattering in three dimensions. The spatial coherence function of the Stokes pulse is found as a function of the Fresnel number. The pulse-energy distribution function is calculated and compared with recent measurements.Keywords
