Abstract
Measurements of the transverse magnetoresistance and the de Haas‐van Alphen effect in LaAl2 are presented for the first time. The results are compared with a theoretical band structure calculation. Several features are in surprisingly good correspondence. Based upon these ones a model of the Fermi surface is proposed. Additionally a few representative cyclotron masses are given. Keywords
