Abstract
The presented lightwave transrouter can successfully route a lightwave signal to a desired wavelength-addressed channel in dense WDM networks. The transrouter is constructed using an arrayed-waveguide grating multiplexer formed of an appropriate ring laser and wavelength router. The unique configuration is particularly attractive because of the lasing wavelength auto-tuning.Keywords
