SEPARATION ET EVALUATION DE LA TETRAHYDROALDOSTERONE PAR CHROMATOGRAPHIE SUR PAPIER

Abstract
We describe a chromatographic method that permits the separation of urinary 3α,11β,21-trihydroxy-5β-pregnan-20-one-18al (tetrahydroaldosterone) and its quantitative evaluation. The excretion of this steroid is 20 to 35 μg/24 h in the urine of normal subjects, 150 to 200 μg in pregnancy urines and 190 to 210 μg in those of children with a nephrotic syndrome. The separation of two unknown steroids X3 and X4 reducing blue tetrazolium is also described.
