Abstract
Under treatment with ultraviolet radiation and heat, sodium azide develops an optical absorption band centered at 520 mμ. The centers responsible for this band have been identified by the dual techniques of electron spin resonance and cryoabsorption spectroscopy as colloidal sodium. Keywords
