Abstract
Mr. Phillipson is Secretary/Inspector of the National Monuments Commission in Zambia. In this article he describes the excavation of a site near Lusaka which is dated to around the fifth century A.D. The results of this work are an important addition to our knowledge of the Early Iron Age in eastern Africa.Keywords
