Abstract
Both compounds agreed with authentic samples in respect to melting point, UV, IR and NMR spectra. This is the 1st report of the isolation of hydrangenol from cultured higher plant cells. The fact that H. macrophylla can synthesize a considerable amount of hydrangenol in a relatively short time (about 3 wk) seems to offer a useful means for the enzymatic study of isocourmarin biosynthesis.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
