Portal and Mesenteric Vein Thrombosis in Two Diabetic Patients

Abstract
We report two adult patients in whom portal and mesenteric vein thrombosis was a serious complication of diabetes. The contribution of a hypercoagulable state is considered and the importance of careful glycaemic control in patients with previous thrombotic episodes is emphasized.Keywords
