Abstract
Deodhar has assumed the non-diagram lines , and to be satellites of the diagram line , and not satellites of the diagram line which they seem to accompany. His conclusion is due to the linearity of the satellite semi-Moseley graph, which results when , and not , is considered to be the parent line of , and . In the present note, the linearity of satellite data is shown to be entirely fortuitous. A study of the errors involved supports this conclusion. If we assume that these three non-diagram lines are really satellites of , the values which result, are of the same order of magnitude as the values for other satellites. The conclusion is that , and are probably satellites of the diagram line .
