Abstract
The solubility of silver nitrate in the chromatographic support solvents, glycerin, ethylene glycol and 1,3-propanediol has been determined at 25°C, in the absence and presence of 5% water. The solubilities are reported as mole fractions, molality and molarity of silver nitrate. The solubilities in the solvents increase in the order: 1,3-propanediol < ethylene glycol < glycerin. These solubility data allow estimation of the amount of silver nitrate on the column support. Keywords
