Abstract
The relative alkylating capabilities of crotyl chloride, allyl bromide, and 1-bromo-2-butyne with respect to compounds containing thiol, imidazole, primary amino, and methylthio functions representative of those present in cysteine, histidine, lysine and methionine residues have been studied using 2-bromoacetophenone as the reference alkylating agent. Keywords
