Abstract
The in vitro dissolution rates of triamterene preparations varied significantly, partly due to different formulations. In a randomized cross-over study on 6 normal subjects the kinetic data of three preparations were investigated. The plasma concentrations of triamterene and its main metabolite hydroxytriamterene sulfuric acid ester were measured with a specific analytical method. Good correlations were found between the in vitro data of the Paddle method and the in vivo results. Dissolution rates determined with the Paddle method predict the in vivo performance of triamterene formulations. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
