Measurement of the $D_{s}^{+} \to η ℓ^{+} ν$ and $D_{s}^{+} \to η^{'} ℓ^{+} ν$ Branching Ratios

Abstract

Using the CLEO II detector we measure

\frac{B (D_{s}^{+} \to η e^{+} ν)}{B (D_{s}^{+} \to φ e^{+} ν)} = 1.24 \pm 0.12 \pm 0.15

,

\frac{B (D_{s}^{+} \to η^{'} e^{+} ν)}{B (D_{s}^{+} \to φ e^{+} ν)} = 0.43 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.07

, and

\frac{B (D_{s}^{+} \to η^{'} e^{+} ν)}{B (D_{s}^{+} \to η e^{+} ν)} = 0.35 \pm 0.09 \pm 0.07

. We find the ratio of vector to pseudoscalar final states,

\frac{B (D_{s}^{+} \to φ e^{+} ν)}{B (D_{s}^{+} \to (η + η^{'}) e^{+} ν)} = 0.60 \pm 0.06 \pm 0.06

, which is similar to the ratio found in nonstrange

D

decays.
