Abstract
A rotation of vegetable crops was established on land with a high weed seed population and annual estimates made of the numbers of viable seeds in the top 6 inches. In the absence of appreciable fresh seed production, the population decreased at the rate of approximately 50% per year. Progressive changes were observed in the relative importance of the species present, but the differential effects of various organic and inorganic fertilizer treatments on the weed seed population were only slight. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
