Abstract
To the Editor: I am writing to you concerning the article, "Present-Day Treatment of Pituitary Adenomas: Surgery versus x-ray therapy," by Horrax, Smedal, Trump, Granke and Wright, which appeared in the March 31 issue of the Journal, and was abstracted in the Journal of the American Medical Association in June. The authors conclude that the necessity of surgical interference in the treatment of pituitary tumors was lessened by the use of rotational therapy with the 2,000,000-volt apparatus.
