Abstract
Various diets, including types relatively high in fat, in carbohydrate, in protein, and in salts showed, with one exception, an average mortality of 95% within about 5 days after operation. Bread prolongs life after operation to about twice the average survival time, especially in mature rats, but not in dogs. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
