Abstract
The servomotor dealt with in this paper is a power-amplifying positioning device of the type used in such applications as control-valve positioners, flight controls, and power steering devices. The experimental and analytical study of the dynamics of the hydraulic servomotor recently completed at the Lewis laboratory develops data demonstrating the nonlinear, discontinuous nature of the dynamic response of the servomotor and includes a derivation of the basic analytical expressions for describing the response.Keywords
