Paroxysmal dystonic choreoathetosis

Abstract
A family which experiences periodic episodes of choreoathetosis is described. This family is similar to that reported by Mount and Reback in 1940. The literature is reviewed. These families represent a clinical entity that is distinct from the more frequently reported movement-induced (kinetogenic) paroxysmal choreoathetosis. This disorder should be designated paroxysmal dystonic choreoathetosis of Mount and Reback.
