Abstract
The hyphomycete genus Tolypocladium W. Gams is compared with similar genera possessing swollen phialides and amerosporous conidia borne in slimy heads. T. niveum comb. nov. (Pachybasium niveum Rostrup) is proposed as the correct name for the type species. Cephalosporium balanoides Dreschler and Verticillium microsporum Jaap are redisposed in Tolypocladium [T. balanoides comb. nov. and T. microsporum comb. nov.], and 2 new species of Tolypocladium [T. nubicola and T. tundrense ] are described from tundra soils. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
