Abstract
A procedure for designing digital filters with good frequency response and few multiplies is described. The filters are designed by using dynamic programming to reduce the number of non-zero coefficients in a high order numerator. In the designs described here a fixed, low order denominator is assumed add the numerator is optimized. Keywords
