Abstract
The protective effect of cimetidine on gastric mucosal lesions in the rat was investigated. Through prophylactic administration of 3 × 25 mg/kg body weight for 24 h just prior to the test period, the incidence rate of lesions, as well as upper gastro-intestinal haemorrhage was highly significantly reduced. Keywords
