Abstract
Several bis(N,N‐dialkyldithiocarbamato) ironIII have been studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy in the presence of external magnetic fields. The spectra have shown strong evidence of dimeric antiferromagnetic coupling between the molecular units in the crystal lattice. The dimeric coupling occurs through superexchange interacton between different molecules. The magnitude of the coupling constant JD, which was estimated from the magnetically perturbed Mössbauer spectra, was found to be of the order of 0.25–0.50 K for the complexes studied here. Keywords
