Abstract
The leakage of filler elements from four composites after storage in water was investigated. The results showed that all fillers leaked Si, and that the micro-filled composite and the Ba- and Sr-containing glass composites leaked more Si than did the quartz-containing material. The leakage from the different fillers was explained by hydroxy-ion and stress-corrosion attacks. Keywords
