Abstract

The quantitative separation of marine free-living nematodes from fine-grained sediments is an extremely difficult and laborious process. A simple flotation method, utilizing Ludox [colloidal silica] AM, was described. The efficiency of the method was 90% or greater when proper precautions were observed.
