A Radioimmunoassay for the Cytoplasmic Polyhedrosis Virus from Bombyx mori

Abstract
Low titer antibodies to dsRNA were detected in an antiserum prepared to the cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus from Bombyx mori. At antiserum dilutions between 1:320 and 1:20,480, more than 90% of intact virus particles were bound when tested by radioimmunoassay. At a dilutionn of 1:1,280, the virus antiserum had a high affinity for intact virus but did not cross-react with dsRNA. These conditions would be suitable for testing specific serological cross-reactions between viruses of this type.
