Abstract
A routine film of the abdomen should be taken immediately following cerebral angiography in order to visualize the urinary tract. The feasibility of doing this without interference with the cerebral studies or detriment to the patient is demonstrated. This suggestion is further warranted by the relatively high yield of useful and, most often, unexpected information. Thirty-five of 275 consecutive patients undergoing cerebral angiography had urograms which were abnormal or worthy of special comment. Twenty-four (9%) of these were of distinct significance in the evaluation or care of the patient. This suggestion offers the further possibility of being another method for arriving at the true incidence of the association of certain cerebral and renal pathological entities. Keywords
