Effect of Pressure on Superconducting Transition Temperature of Y0.4Ba0.6CuOy

Abstract
Superconducting transition temperatures were measured under pressure for Y0.4Ba0.6CuO y specimens. The onset temperature T co increases with the increase of pressure at the rate of 0.45 deg/GPa, whereas the behavior of complete temperature T cf is more complicated; at first it increases and then above 10 GPa it decreases. Residual resistance remained without disappearing even below T cf with specimens put under stress.
