Abstract
The general equation governing the changes of orientation of a spinning particle is expressed in a compact tensorial form which represents an extension of the vector equation of Larmor precession. The time derivative of each component of a mean multipole moment of the particle is a linear combination of the multipole moments of all orders, subject to selection rules which express the interesting features of the motion. Keywords
