Abstract
Fifteen helminth species, 13 for the first time, are reported from 75 rats (Rattus norvegicus, R. rattus rattus, R. rattus alexandrinus) from the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. Capillaria traverae, is described from the small intestine of all three rat species. Angiostrongylus cantonensis was found in 12% of the rats examined and the finding that land snails may serve as experimental intermediate hosts for this parasite is noted for the first time. Keywords
