Electronic Simulation of a Hydro-Generator with Static Excitation

Abstract
This paper discusses the conception of an electronic-analog-real-time-hydro-generator simulator with static excitation. The simulator, based on the two axes representation of Park's equations, incorporates: a) the representation of saturation on every axis, b) means for introducing armature impedance to high harmonic currents and c) the possibility of B-H curve simulation of the transformer at the synchronous generator terminals.
